Mission:
Ensure the implementation and compliance of safety and fire protection protocols within energy facilities to mitigate risks, protect assets, and ensure the safety of personnel and the environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain fire protection strategies and systems for energy sites.
- Conduct risk assessments, hazard analyses, and fire safety audits across facilities.
- Oversee compliance with safety regulations, fire codes, and industry standards.
- Design and specify fire suppression and detection systems tailored for specific energy structures.
- Evaluate fire risks related to fuel storage, chemical processes, and other site-specific energy operations.
- Prepare and review emergency response plans and evacuation procedures.
- Liaise with authorities and relevant stakeholders during inspections and investigations.
- Monitor and ensure proper operation and maintenance of fire protection equipment.
- Assess and report on incidents, providing recommendations to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety and fire protection considerations in energy designs.
Profile:
- Engineering degree or relevant qualification in Fire Protection, Safety, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of fire dynamics, risk mitigation strategies, and safety standards.
- Knowledge of energy sector-specific hazards and fire safety challenges.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and codes (e.g., NFPA standards).
- Analytical mindset with expertise in assessing risk and proposing technical solutions.
- Competence in preparing detailed reports and technical documentation.
- Team-oriented approach with the ability to collaborate alongside multidisciplinary teams.
Software:
- Basic proficiency in fire modeling tools (e.g., PyroSim or FDS).
- General familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) for inspecting technical designs.
