Mission:
The Expediting Specialist ensures the timely delivery of materials and equipment needed for energy sector projects by coordinating with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams. The role focuses on maintaining supply chain reliability and efficiency in compliance with project timelines and budgetary constraints.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor supplier production schedules and ensure adherence to agreed timelines.
- Track the progress of orders and resolve any issues related to delays or logistical challenges.
- Communicate order status updates to procurement, project management, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate transportation and logistics with freight companies to ensure timely delivery.
- Verify documentation such as purchase orders, packing lists, and invoices for accuracy.
- Liaise with suppliers to clarify technical and delivery requirements.
- Conduct routine follow-ups with vendors to ensure corrective actions on delivery delays.
- Prepare regular progress reports and escalation plans for critical delays.
