Mission:
The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing project schedules, ensuring efficient resource allocation, and monitoring project timelines across all phases of energy sector projects. The role will ensure alignment with project objectives while supporting the delivery of high-quality results in compliance with company standards and practices.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules tailored to the energy sector, including design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying potential deviations and proposing mitigation actions when necessary.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure alignment between schedule and project execution.
- Provide detailed scheduling reports, including forecasts and progress evaluations, customized as per project requirements.
- Analyze project risks related to timelines and provide recommendations for contingency planning.
- Assist in resource planning and ensure efficient allocation across tasks to meet project deliverables.
- Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure schedule alignment with material and equipment availability.
- Update and revise schedules based on evolving project conditions or changes in scope.
- Ensure compliance with internal guidelines, quality standards, and contractual obligations related to scheduling.
Profile:
- Strong technical knowledge of planning methods, tools, and techniques tailored to energy sector projects.
- Familiarity with industry-specific processes and requirements, including design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
- Capacity to interpret technical documentation, drawings, and specifications to create accurate schedules.
- Experience in critical path analysis, resource levelling, and progress tracking.
- Solid analytical mindset with attention to detail, capable of producing accurate assessments and recommendations related to project timelines.
Software:
- Proficiency in planning software, such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project, for creating and managing schedules.
