Mission:
As a Naval Engineer in the energy sector, you will contribute to the design, analysis, and optimization of naval systems and maritime structures to support offshore energy projects. Your role will focus on ensuring the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of operations while adhering to project specifications and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze ship structures, floating systems, and marine platforms for energy applications.
- Conduct hydrodynamic and stability calculations to assess vessel performance under operational conditions.
- Perform structural integrity assessments of marine systems, including fatigue and impact analysis.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions for offshore energy operations and installations.
- Support the development of technical specifications and ensure compliance with maritime regulations and classification requirements.
- Prepare technical documentation, engineering reports, and installation procedures.
- Provide technical input during procurement, manufacturing, and commissioning phases.
- Investigate and resolve engineering challenges during design, fabrication, and operational stages.
Profile:
- Degree in Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of principles of naval architecture, hydrodynamics, and structural analysis.
- Familiarity with the design of offshore structures such as FPSOs, wind turbine platforms, or other marine vessels.
- Solid understanding of classification society rules and regulations applicable to maritime and offshore projects.
- Proven ability to interpret engineering drawings, reports, and specifications.
- Understanding of loadouts, seafastening, and vessel installation techniques for offshore energy industries.
Software:
- Experience with naval architecture and structural analysis tools (e.g., OrcaFlex or Maxsurf).
- Proficiency in CAD software for ship and offshore structure design (e.g., AutoCAD).
- Basic understanding of general-purpose analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB).
