Job Description

Mission:

The Welding Supervisor will oversee all welding-related activities to ensure compliance with quality standards, safety requirements, and project objectives within the energy sector. The role involves coordinating welding operations, ensuring adherence to technical specifications, and supporting the successful execution of projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage welding operations across various projects to ensure efficiency and high-quality output.
  • Verify that welding processes comply with technical specifications and industry standards.
  • Monitor welding progress and ensure timelines are respected while addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Inspect materials and welds using visual and non-destructive testing methods.
  • Maintain detailed records of welding activities, including documentation of inspections and compliance reports.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site.
  • Provide guidance to welders on proper techniques, equipment usage, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and quality control teams to align welding operations with project goals.
  • Support the development and implementation of welding procedures and processes.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to welding and recommend corrective actions.

Profile:

  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques, standards (such as ASME and EN codes), and materials used in the energy sector.
  • Solid understanding of quality control processes and inspection methodologies related to welding.
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental standards applicable to welding environments in industrial settings.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, welding procedures, and specifications.
  • Competence in managing teams and coordinating workflows in a structured manner.
  • Technical understanding of non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.

Software:

  • Proficient in using welding management software (e.g., WeldEye or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with standard office productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
