Mission:
The Survey Engineer will support projects in the energy sector by delivering precise and reliable geospatial data using advanced survey techniques. The role focuses on the acquisition, processing, and validation of data to support engineering and operational activities across onshore or offshore energy projects.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute field surveys based on project requirements.
- Operate and maintain survey equipment to collect geospatial data with high accuracy.
- Process collected data to generate topographic, geodetic, or bathymetric maps.
- Analyze survey results and ensure alignment with project specifications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate survey data into project workflows.
- Ensure the proper calibration and functionality of survey instruments.
- Prepare detailed survey reports, charts, and deliverables for technical teams or clients.
- Comply with safety standards and company guidelines during field operations.
Profile:
- Strong technical knowledge of geodetic, topographic, or bathymetric principles.
- Experience with survey methods such as GPS/GNSS, LiDAR, or sonar techniques.
- Familiarity with energy sector environments (onshore, offshore, or both).
- Ability to interpret survey data and generate accurate deliverables in line with project needs.
- Academic background in surveying, geospatial sciences, geomatics, or a related field.
- Capable of working in challenging field conditions (e.g., offshore platforms or remote sites).
Software: GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS or QGIS).
