Mission:
The Piping Engineer will design and optimize piping systems for energy-related projects, ensuring compliance with technical standards, safety requirements, and project specifications. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver cost-effective and efficient solutions tailored to the specific needs of the energy sector.
Responsibilities:
- Design and model piping systems for energy installations, including routing and support structures.
- Perform stress analysis and ensure that piping systems comply with load and pressure requirements.
- Develop technical specifications, material selection guidelines, and fabrication documentation.
- Review and verify isometric drawings, pipe layouts, and detailed design plans.
- Conduct field surveys as needed to validate designs and ensure seamless construction integration.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., ASME, API).
- Collaborate with the project team, including civil, mechanical, and process engineers, to align piping designs with overall project goals.
- Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases.
Profile:
- Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or relevant Engineering discipline.
- Proficient understanding of fluid mechanics, pipe material selection, and stress analysis principles.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations governing piping systems.
- Ability to develop accurate technical documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Software:
- Experience with industry-standard piping design tools such as AutoCAD Plant 3D or equivalent for modeling and layout purposes.
- Familiar with stress analysis software such as CAESAR II.
- Basic understanding of general CAD software environments.
