Job Description

Mission:

The Piping Engineer will design and optimize piping systems for energy-related projects, ensuring compliance with technical standards, safety requirements, and project specifications. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver cost-effective and efficient solutions tailored to the specific needs of the energy sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and model piping systems for energy installations, including routing and support structures.
  • Perform stress analysis and ensure that piping systems comply with load and pressure requirements.
  • Develop technical specifications, material selection guidelines, and fabrication documentation.
  • Review and verify isometric drawings, pipe layouts, and detailed design plans.
  • Conduct field surveys as needed to validate designs and ensure seamless construction integration.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., ASME, API).
  • Collaborate with the project team, including civil, mechanical, and process engineers, to align piping designs with overall project goals.
  • Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases.

Profile:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or relevant Engineering discipline.
  • Proficient understanding of fluid mechanics, pipe material selection, and stress analysis principles.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations governing piping systems.
  • Ability to develop accurate technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Software:

  • Experience with industry-standard piping design tools such as AutoCAD Plant 3D or equivalent for modeling and layout purposes.
  • Familiar with stress analysis software such as CAESAR II.
  • Basic understanding of general CAD software environments.
